Over 1,000 people have been arrested in Iran in
the past year for their involvement in protests, or because of their political opinions, as reported by HRHI (Human Rights House of Iran).
HRHI said this includes 185 students, 165 members of religious minorities, 129 political activists, 129 Kurdish activists, 43 journalists and bloggers, 20 human rights activists, and 8 women’s rights activists. These numbers do not include those whose arrests were not made public.
Over 1,000 political arrests in 1 year! Clearly there are strong cracks in the foundation of this regime…
